About
I am a storyteller.
It is something that I've always been good at.
These days I just happen to tell stories through the viewfinder, taking pictures of people, milestones, beginnings and futures. Most importantly, I take pictures of things that interest me. I believe the smallest details are what makes life interesting and capturing those details is what I enjoy - what I love to do. Whether it is of friends' bookshelves or of a couple starting their lives together, it is my passion.
By trade I am a writer. I started out below the fold, writing for two of the smallest as well as two of the largest newspapers in the state, moved to magazines, then non-profits as a designer and now I am serving the public in a marketing and public relations role.
What has stayed consistent throughout my career is taking pictures. It seemed to stick out.
I am a creative and I enjoy what I do. It is what makes getting up for a nine-to-five worth it.
My wife, Kathy, and I started this mom-and-pop shop four years ago. She keeps the books and scheduling - all the stuff a left brain dislikes. She also assists on shoots and is known to pick up a camera when needed.
What we offer:
Engagement sessions
Weddings
Portraits
Corporate and private events
Editorial and advertising
And everything in-between
Why we do what we do:
People. That's it. There is nothing more enjoyable than being a part of peoples' lives; being able to capture a moment that will bring memories and smiles..
What we are doing when we aren't taking pictures:
Eating - We believe this is at the root of all relationships. It is what we have in common with everyone we know.
Friends and family - These are the people who keep us going and help us along the way.
Traveling - This makes us all better people.
Reading - This is the same as traveling, but it is something that is a bit cheaper than hitting the road.
Music - I play the piano and guitar and dabble with the mandolin, bongos and harmonica. Kathy finds the new music and actually remembers the names of artist and songs I like.
News - We are teetering on junkie status. I still have a fire in my belly for newsprint and one of my favorite smells is a press when it rolls along.
What you'll find on my site:
My portfolio is www.zachnash.com. There you'll find photos that define who I am as a photographer. My blog is www.zachnash.com/blog - a bit less formal and a place where, hopefully, you'll get to know us better.
We have many photography packages available and would be more than happy to create one to fit your needs.
If you have any questions or want to sit down to discuss your milestone or event, contact us using the link above. One of us will respond as soon as we can.
Thank you,
Zach Nash
