During construction to Oklahoma City's Capitol Hill High School, contractors recently discovered some of the gymnasium's original design features had been covered by a false wall. I had the oppurtunity today to climb up (a very small hole) and inside the ceiling of the gym to take photos of the architectural details that are still covered. The building, built in 1928, is currently being renovated as part of a $700 million bond issue passed by Oklahoma City residents in 2001 to improve area public schools.
More photos of Capitol Hill High School's original gymnasium can be viewed on my Flickr account.

Such a beautiful building. I can't wait to see it all done one day.
